Dear all,

You’ll have probably seen the recent announcement of Visit Victoria’s ’Click for Vic’ campaign. The Premier announced the campaign on Sunday; this is an activity that is heavily backed by the State government and supported by a $2m marketing spend.

The campaign aims to support businesses in the tourism sector, who offer their products online. Producers, bakers, makers, wineries, distilleries, breweries, restaurants, fashion retailers, book stores (and more) can take advantage of this campaign.

There are three ways you can get involved if you have not already:

1. Get your business on the Visit Victoria website
Firstly, you will need to ensure you have a current business listing on the Visit Victoria website. For this to happen, you must have an up to date ATDW listing. If your business is not listed on the Visit Vic site, you might have been provided with a coupon code already but not activated it or have not signed up. For a limited time, ATDW listings are FREE. You can find out more here. If you have not signed up, please contact us.

I strongly urge you to sign up as a DMT partner as part of this process. The cost is $179 for this year, and for that, you receive a business listing on our new DML website, your ATDW coupon code, access to our various marketing activities, support from the DMT team and above all, your support is strengthening our regional tourism industry: every cent we receive is reinvested back into regional tourism. Please contact Annissa if you’d like to be a DMT partner. We have had a surge in partnerships lately, so thanks to those for supporting us.

Not all businesses are featured on the Click for Vic site, this is at the discretion of the Visit Victoria team. This is a handy resource if you want to optimise your ATDW listing which will help, and of course, we’ll be pushing to get our partners at the top of the list.

2. List on a partner eCommerce site
To ensure you get coverage, the second way that you can capitalise on this campaign is to list your business on one of the partner eCommerce platforms Providoor, Co-lab Pantry, and, probably the best option for you, Victorian Country Market.

We have already pushed Victorian Country Market a couple of times via our emails, but as this campaign has just kicked into gear, now’s the time to sign up if you haven’t. A reminder of how to check it out and get involved is below. VCM lists producers (everything from meat, veg, and smallgoods, to booze and homewares), so if you make something people might like, check it out. Of the three sites, this one is best suited to our region.
Here is a link to the VCM so you can wander through the stalls.

Co-Lab Pantry is an online provedore of food and beverage products. If you’re interested, please check out their FAQ page here. Register your interest here or email the team if you’d like to be listed.

At this stage, Providoor is Melbourne-centric. We’ll update you if this changes.

3. Use hashtags on your social accounts
It would help if you also use these hashtags in your social media activity. Use #clickforvic #visitvictoria #dreamnowdiscoverlater #daylesfordmacedonlife as well as your own hashtags on social media and encourage your customers to do the same. Also, consider your messaging in your communications, for example, your social post could use the following words ‘While you can’t visit us right now, you can still order the products that you love via our online store to enjoy from your home. #clickforvic’

Finally, accommodation is not currently part of this campaign. However, given that one of the campaign objectives is to ‘build consideration for future travel within Victoria’, we have put forward the suggestion that accommodation vouchers would be a great addition to the campaign. We’ll keep you posted.

Any questions, fire me an email.
