Hi all,

Wild and woolly weather out there, hope you’re staying safe.

I wanted to remind you of our next Industry Networking evening. It’ll be held at the fabulous Red Hare Estate. This lovely winery is central to everywhere, making it as easy for as many of you as possible, and they’ll be providing us with drinks and nibbles.

Details:
Date: Thursday, 12th September
Time: 4pm – 6pm
Venue: Red Hare Estate, 1225 Daylesford-Malmsbury Rd, Denver

It’s important to register so we can cater accordingly. You can do so here.

Business Capability Survey

Deloitte has been engaged by the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) to evaluate the capability levels of regional tourism businesses. To inform the analysis, they are conducting a survey of regional tourism businesses in Victoria to better understand your capabilities across a wide range of areas, including customer experience and strategy, visitor servicing, partnerships, and risk/crisis management.

I know what many of you are flat out – as always – but I think that this is a very good use of your time and will help us shape our training/skills building program.  You can access the survey here and it takes 15 minutes max.

The survey is due to close on Friday 6 September and responses will be completely confidential.  If you have any questions relating to the survey, please contact the project Director Joanne Tay at  or DJSIR Tourism Project Officer Hala Abbouchi at .

Come Back to Life Campaign Update

Our campaign is coming together nicely!  Thanks to all of you who have joined us. It’s a big pivot for DMT, but times are tough for regional travel, and we have to come out swinging.  It’s not too late to be part of it…as mentioned before, Gold tier spots are all gone but Silver and Bronze are available….just….we have to put spring to bed ASAP.  Email me on if you have any questions (Annissa is enjoying a well-deserved break) or sign up here.

Thanks, as always for your support.

Cheers,
Steve Wroe (he/him)
