Free sustainability webinars for tourism operators

Dear all,

We’ve just been advised of a series of free online sustainability workshops that I wanted to let you know about.

Embracing sustainability can strengthen your brand, help your business reach new customers, build staff satisfaction, improve profitability, increase your resilience, and help manage your impact on the world around you.

Drawing from the new national Sustainable Tourism Toolkit, the Australian Government is hosting a free, four-part series of 1 hour webinars across April and May. Designed to meet the needs of small-to-medium tourism enterprises, the webinars will provide easy-to-understand advice on implementing sustainability practices, whether your business is new to sustainability or well on the journey.

There are four webinars in total, one of each of the four pillars of sustainable tourism as aligned with the national Sustainable Tourism Toolkit. All times are in AEST.

Here’s the schedule:

Date & time Webinar name
April 30, 12 – 1 pm Managing your Business in a Sustainable Way
May 2, 12 – 1 pm Environment and Climate Action
May 9, 12 – 1 pm Respecting Culture
May 15, 12 – 1 pm Creating positive social impact and telling your story

  • The webinars have been designed for tourism operators, but anyone with an interest in sustainable tourism is welcome to attend.
  • Registering will sign you up for all four webinars. Registrants will receive reminders one week and one hour before the beginning of each webinar.
  • Registrants will receive a recording of each webinar, so please sign up even if unable to attend the live sessions.
  • The webinars are hosted by Austrade in partnership with Tourism Australia and all State and Territory Governments, and facilitated by The Tourism Collective.
