Dear All,
Thanks to all of you who responded quickly and positively to our new Spontaneous Breaks campaign. We’ve had a fantastic level of engagement, and spots are filling up fast. We’ve also had questions about the campaign, how it will roll out, and how best to get involved.
So, we’re holding a Spontaneous Breaks Webinar next Wednesday 24 July at 10am. This is your chance to hear directly from the team about this exciting new digital campaign. This tactical, direct response activity will drive immediate visitation to our region…and customers to you. It heroes our strong regional brand and capitalises on the spontaneous nature of bookings we all see.
Don’t miss out on your chance to be included in the campaign. It’s our key focus this year, as we adapt to a more challenging environment. We are 100% focused on conversion, getting our ‘unfair share’ of visitors out of Melbourne and regional cities.
Note: the Spontaneous Breaks campaign will replace existing marketing tools such as the Daylesford Macedon Life magazine, Eat & Drink Guide, and individual EDM buy-in.
Conference Feedback
Thanks again to all of you who came along to what was our biggest and arguably best annual conference last month. We’d value your feedback so we can continue to improve. You can provide feedback here.
Top Tourism Town awards
A reminder that both Daylesford and Maldon are finalists in the VTIC Top Tourism Town awards. The DMT Team will be there, so if you’re there come and have a drink with us. It’s a good networking opportunity and tickets are still available here.
Grants
The Regional Tourism Investment Fund is about to close (19 July). We have shared info over the last couple of months, so hopefully all those interested have done all that needs to be done under the submission guidelines. If it’s a last-gasp effort, here’s the info.
Of course, the Regional Events Fund is open, and depending on what level of funding you’re seeking, there are multiple funding rounds ahead.
Cheers,
Steve Wroe (he/him)
