It’s been a very busy couple of months on the PR front, and with more of the same to come!
The remake of Peter Weir’s 1975 film “Picnic at Hanging Rock” (based on Joan Lindsay’s novel) into a 6-part series on Foxtel, aired on the 6th of May. This saw a flurry of media interest and journalists coming into the region. A number of the resulting articles can be found on our PR Mentions page, together with stories covering happenings in the food & wine world, competitions, autumn colours and more.
The crew from The Today Show came to film their national live weather crosses from Creswick Woollen Mill in April and again this month from both Clunes and Daylesford – and we are busily pitching future potential locations!
Also in May, in their feature on ‘100 places to hang out in Australia’, Australian Traveller placed Daylesford in the #1 spot for ‘Top 10 Regional Towns’ and Castlemaine at #9, which was a great result for our region.
And commencing June, Visit Victoria’s winter ‘Wander Victoria’ campaign will focus on our region, together with the High Country, and will include approximately 13 billboards in prime locations across Melbourne, telling everyone to ‘Visit Trentham’!
