Hi All,

Just a quick note from myself and the DMT team.

Firstly, a quick reminder that we have our industry briefing happening this Thursday 10th August at the Kyneton Hotel. I’ll give you an update on what’s happening at DMT and our mates at Visit Victoria will provide an update on what they have happening. We’ll also have a social media tips and tricks session with Jodi Flockhart from Sault Restaurant and our own digital marketing guru, Sharon Hughes.

If you haven’t booked, please click the RSVP link below. It is a 4.30pm arrival for a 5pm start, with time for networking and drinks afterwards, courtesy of the Macedon Ranges Vignerons Association (thanks!).

Hot Deals update
While demand and visitation are still pretty good, we are seeing a slight slowdown and have been working with the Visit Victoria team on extending the deals and offers we asked you for a couple of months back. If you have an offer, please submit it HERE. Remember: value adding is better than discounting! Based on previous experience, things that we know work well are:
Pay 2 / Stay 3 accommodation deals
Mid-week local meal deals, i.e. pot and parma, gnocchi night, or mid-week lunch or breakfast deals (these can be already existing specials)
Other popular options include midweek spa, bathing/wellness experiences or mid-week winery tastings, etc.
Note: several listings are set to expire over the coming weeks – if that’s the case with the deal you originally submitted, you will need to provide us with updated details. Please email any changes through to Sarah.

The Hot Deals page will be shared in our next consumer EDM sent on Thursday 31st August to our database. It will also be shared on our Facebook page.
If you have any questions please email Annissa.

Sustainable workshop winners
Lastly, those of you who attended our conference waaaaay back in May will remember Nic Cooper’s session on how to make your business sustainable. There were two free consultation sessions with Nic up for grabs, and we have the winners! They are Ruth at Hanging Rock Winery and Jane at Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar. Sustainability is integral to both of their businesses and we hope that Nic’s session can help take them to the next level. It’s such an important part of doing business today. Congratulations to both Jane and Ruth.

Remember, please RSVP below for our industry briefing session this Thursday.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

Cheers,
Steve and the DMT team.
