Marketing Update November 2021

Date

Hi All,

As we charge headlong towards the end of what has been a pretty crappy year in many ways, it’s nice to reflect on what has been GOOD rather than bad.

While challenges still remain for many…did someone say staffing…I reckon our region got through this tough year pretty well, so hats off to all of you who weathered the storm.

My reflection is about my team. I have had a very, very challenging year on a personal level but I cannot find enough praise for the DMT I’m lucky enough to have working with me. They busted their arses while I had time off for treatment and I’d also like to tip my hat in the direction of Paul Matthews. Paul is my ‘brother from another mother’…aside from kinda looking similar, I was astonished to find that he arrived in Australia by the same mode of transport as me (boat) from the same port (Capetown) in the same year (1974). I was a lot younger than him of course (-:

I’d also like to acknowledge the DMT Board. I am so lucky to have such a kind, intelligent, proactive and wonderful group of mentors.

Finally – thank YOU. Without the unwavering support of our partners, both operators and Government, we would simply not exist!

Read on…many goals being kicked in the marketing world and again, I thank the team for driving such great results and you, for your support.

Bring on 2022.

REGIONAL PERSONAS

Progressing our marketing with regional personas

Together with Customer Frame and industry, we have developed eight customer profiles for our region that will help businesses reach the types of customer we want more of. Look out for the launch of our new Daylesford Macedon Ranges Customer Profiles scheduled for Tuesday 1 February 2022. There will then be online modules where Customer Frame will take you through how to use these to improve your marketing, digital presence and customer experience. We are pretty excited about using these profiles as it gives us insight into how these segments think, their goals, behaviours, frustrations and what media they consume.
