Daylesford Incident

Date

Dear all,

It’s hard to put into words how sad and tragic last night’s incident was. Our thoughts are with all of you, and our deepest condolences to those affected.

Of course we’d like to offer a huge thanks those who have helped, particularly the first responders, some of whom are community members and friends.  Thanks also to the emergency services personnel, as well as Hepburn Shire Council who have been terrific.

The incident has shocked and saddened many of us.  For now, we would just like to direct those who need it to support services. If there is anything else you might need, please don’t hesitate to email me at  or call me on 0419 574 813.

Here is some information for those who would like support:

Firstly, a public vigil will be held this evening (Monday) at 6pm at the Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre, 13 Camp Street, Daylesford.

Also, a stand-up counselling service has been set up at Daylesford Community Health. Call 5321 6551 to access this support.

There are also many other support services available:

Beyond Blue have some excellent resources online. Alternatively you can call the Road Trauma Support Services Victoria on 1300 367 797 (9am – 5pm)  or visit their website.

Small Business Victoria have recommend contacting the Partners in Wellbeing service, which is specific to business operators www.partnersinwellbeing.org.au

Our thoughts are with all of you. Please don’t hesitate to access support, or get in touch.

Much love from the DMT Team, and me.
